I started my outdoor passion at a very young age. I began fishing at around 5 years old and joining my father in the tree stand at 8 years olds. Finally took my very first deer with a shotgun at 14 and my first buck with archery equipment at 15. I continued with this success throughout the remainder of my teenage years until about the year 2000 where I picked up a video camera to take along and film my time in the outdoors.

In June of 2001 I married my wonderful and understanding wife April, who shares my passion for the outdoors. She joined me on many outdoor trips and attempted to harvest some animals of her own. To this day she loves chasing around those spring gobblers and fishing for summer time crappie.

In November 2005 I harvested what most would call a once in a lifetime buck. This buck for a Michigan animal was amazing. He had a gross score of 136″ as a non-typical 10 point. That started my desire for more Michigan monsters. From that point on I started Sebewa Creek co-operative in the hopes to have a few neighbors that shared the same desires. To allow bucks the chance to survive through the 1.5 year old and maybe even the 2.5 year old stages. The start of a QDM co-operative was most evident in our 2011 season. Though we did not harvest a buck on camera we saw several great shooters that we look forward to running into for the 2012 season.

New outdoor passions that came during the spring of 2006 were the steelhead run and strutting gobblers. I couldn’t imagine anything coming close to my desire to chase whitetails but it didn’t take long before screaming drags and early morning gobbles were running through my blood.
